The Raimo case has brought to light a worrying phenomenon: the tendency to turn every event into a chaotic public debate, detaching it from its legal context and exploiting it as a tool for political conflicts. Shortly after an incident occurs, it quickly seems to lose its original meaning.


This dynamic is alarming because it legitimizes the idea that criticism can extend without limits, disregarding the boundaries of the employment relationship or basic standards of decency. This validates personal offenses, insults, and vulgar attacks under the guise of “freedom of expression.” However, such freedom is not an absolute principle and must be balanced with respect for others. The abuse of criticism, unbound by any responsibility, risks turning into a form of violence that has no place in our legal system.
